Michael Chekhov Acting
Technique Classes forming now.
These classes will be extremely experiential
in nature. We will spend most of the time on our feet
exploring the technique. This is not an intellectual class
- so leave your "thinking head" at the door.
Participants will be introduced to the basic principles
of the Michael Chekhov Technique - the "psycho-physical"
approach to acting developed by Michael Chekhov, nephew
to Anton Chekhov and student of Stanislavski.
Elements of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique include
the use of archetypes, physical centers, the imaginary
body, atmosphere, qualities of movement, and physical
sensations.
For more information on the Chekhov Technique, please
check out the following websites:
Michael Chekhov Association - http://www.michaelchekhov.org
Michael Chekhov Connection - http://www.chekhov.net
To find out more information regarding dates and times
of upcoming classes - please call the instructor, David
Lind, at 651-485-4668 or email david@davidlind.com

Performing Artists
Needed!!!
SAG/AFTRA/AEA membership NOT required!
Are you an Actor, Singer, Dancer, Musician or other performing
artist who is looking for a genuine opportunity to help
children learn to read? The Screen Actors Guild Foundation's
BookPALS program is actively recruiting performing artists
to volunteer their time reading aloud to children in the
public schools. Actors and other performing artists are
uniquely qualified to bring books to life and to inspire
a love of reading in children. We have schools who very
much want BookPALS for Minneapolis and St. Paul and surrounding
areas.
Contact Delta Rae Giordano, State Coordinator for the
Screen Actors Guild Foundation's BookPALS program at 612-817-3550
or minnesota@bookpals.net
